Roscommon car dealership wins international award

Dermot Hughes Cars, Roscommon Town, was honoured with the Toyota Motor Corporation ‘Ichiban Award’ on Monday. The presentation was made in Paris as Toyota is a worldwide mobility partner of the International Olympic Committee.
Ichiban is Japanese for ‘number one’, and is an annual competition, acknowledging Toyota retailers who deliver exceptional value to customers.
More than 2,500 retailers compete to be named ‘number one’. The Roscommon dealership was one of 46 retailers from 35 different countries were selected as winners for their commitment to ‘Customer First’ mindset.
Yoshihiro Nakata, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe, praised the winners saying, “I am delighted to congratulate the 46 winners of the Ichiban Award, who have demonstrated their excellence in customer satisfaction, quality, and innovation… Attending the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, we are inspired by the spirit of excellence, teamwork, and respect that these retailers embody. They are the best of the best, and they are our Ichiban.”
