Roscommon Gardaí take part in train patrols

Local Gardaí took part in a number of high visibility patrols on the Sligo to Dublin rail network recently.

A part of 'Operation Twin Tracks', these patrols were carried out by Garda Tanya Duffy and Sgt Deirdre Coleman.

 “The patrols provided a great opportunity to improve people's sense of security when travelling and to deter antisocial behaviour both at the stations and on the train itself,” Roscommon Gardaí said. “The visibility at the stations and in transit on the trains was well received from young and not so young.”
