The public is being warned of the bogus ticket sellers.

A Roscommon soccer club is warning the public of bogus ticket sellers claiming to be acting on behalf of the club.

In a social media message, St. Joseph’s Football Club (SJFC), based in Cushla Park, Monksland, said it had come to its attention that a group of young people were selling lines for a raffle “supposedly” for its U-16 girls team.

“This has been reported in the Baylough area. Please be aware that SJFC as a club are not fundraising for any official raffle at the moment.

“Please share this with the wider community, we value all the generosity of the community and do not wish to see it being misused,” said the club.
