A Roscommon Town teacher who has given 38 years of dedicated service to her profession was recently honoured on her retirement.

Joan O’Shea, a native of Roscommon Town, began her career in Sheriff Street, Dublin in 1988 before moving to Scoil Mhuire in Roscommon, now St. Comán’s Wood National School.

To mark her retirement from St. Coman’s Una Feeley, principal, made a presentation on behalf of herself and staff to Joan.
