Rugby star returns to his school roots in Roscommon
Darragh Murray visited his former school, Brideswell NS.
Brideswell National School in South Roscommon was delighted to welcome back a former pupil today, Wednesday, as rugby star Darragh Murray paid a special visit.
The Ireland and Connacht player took time out of his busy schedule to meet teachers and children at his former school.
Everyone was thrilled to meet the international player and hear first-hand about his experiences in professional rugby.
There was a great sense of excitement throughout the day as Darragh shared stories, answered questions and reflected on his time at the Brideswell school.
Staff said it was a proud moment to see one of their past pupils achieve such success, while also returning to inspire the next generation.
Brideswell NS expressed their sincere thanks to Darragh for taking the time to visit, describing it as a day that will live long in the memory for pupils and staff alike.
