Sadness at passing of Roscommon woman well known in travel industry
The late Geraldine Dolan.
There has been much sadness at the passing of Geraldine Dolan, Managing Director of the well-known travel agency, Society Travel in Ballinasloe.
Ms Dolan spent part of her career in Kellers Travel in the town before setting up Society Travel in 1998.
Formerly of Carrowreagh, Ballygill, Co Roscommon, Ms Dolan passed away peacefully on June 29th in the care of the staff at the Galway Hospice Foundation.
Predeceased by her former husband and Brian’s father, James (Seamus) Brennan, her father Brian Dolan, her mother Freda Dolan (née Headd), her brother Tom Dolan and her sister Bridie Dolan.
She is survived by her son Brian, Brian’s girlfriend Leda, her brothers Bernard, Gerard, Pat and Vincent, her sister Rita, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, many friends and staff at Society Travel.
She will be laid to rest today, Friday, in Taughmaconnell Cemetery following Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St. Michael's Church, Ballinasloe.
