Six week County Roscommon road closure announced

The road will be closed for six weeks.

The R361 Frenchpark to Castlerea road will be closed for six weeks from September 22nd to November 3rd to facilitate the N5 road project, Roscommon County Council has announced.

Motorists are being advised of the following diversion which will be in place from September 22nd for six weeks: from Frenchpark, head west on the N5, turning off for Ballaghaderreen on the old Dublin Road, L1244.

In Ballaghaderreen, head southbound on the R293 for 3.3km to turn left (at Crunaun Bridge) and head southeast on the R325 (through Loughglynn) as far as the junction with the R361.
