Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow snow-ice warning for County Roscommon this weekend.

The warning comes into effect on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. and last until Sunday at 11 a.m.. There is also a snow-ice warning for the county between Sunday evening at 6 p.m. and Monday at 11 a.m..

Met Éireann is warning of wintry showers with some snow accumulations alongside sharp or severe frost and ice. Possible impacts include hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.

There is also a low temperature warning nationwide over the weekend where temperatures could fall to -4c in some parts of the country.
