Tánaiste Michéal Martin’s scheduled visit to Lough Funshinagh has been brought forward by nine days.

Fianna Fáil Senator Eugene Murphy confirmed to the Lough Funshinagh Flood Crisis committee that the Tánaiste would be visiting the flood affected area in South Roscommon on May 22 instead of the previously planned date of May 31.

"This is positive news and very welcome by all," said the committee.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the Attorney General Rossa A. Fanning will meet OPW Minister Kieran O’Donnell this morning about the crisis.
