A teenager has been hospitalised following an alleged assault in Longford town on Monday night.
Gardaí say that they are “investigating an assault that occurred at a commercial premises in Longford town in the early hours of Tuesday, June 11th.
“Gardaí received report of an incident involving two males at approximately 12.10 a.m. and attended the scene.
“An adult male in his late teens was conveyed to Midlands Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
“A male in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the Midlands. Investigations are ongoing.”
