Tragic news as three people have been killed in south Co. Mayo crash.
Three people have died following a crash in Co. Mayo.
Gardaí and other emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision on the N17 at Castlegar, near Claremorris.
It is understood the accident happened on the main road between Claremorris and Knock shortly after lunchtime.
The road is closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed for a number of hours. Local diversions are in place.
