'To every single client, thank you' - salon pays tribute to customers

A popular County Roscommon hair salon, which closed its doors over the weekend, has thanked its customers for their support.
Last month, Silke Hair Studio, based in Castlerea, said it would be closing down as a direct result of a significant increase in its rent, leaving the business with no choice but to shut its doors.
Today the business’s owner Michelle Silke said she was incredibly grateful for the support the salon received over the last six years.
“As we close the doors of Silke Hair Studio, I find myself reflecting on what has been the most incredible six years of my life,” she said, adding that it had been an extremely hard week for her personally.
“To every single client who walked through our doors, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your hair, your confidence, and often your hearts. Thank you for the chats, the laughter, the tears, the milestones we celebrated together, and for choosing us time and time again. Many of you became far more than clients, you became friends and part of our Silke Hair Studio family. Your loyalty, kindness, and unwavering support have meant more than words can ever express, especially during this incredibly difficult time.” She thanked her amazing team, both past and present, from the bottom of her heart.
“Every one of you played a part in making Silke Hair Studio the warm, welcoming, and professional salon that it became,” she continued. “Your talent, dedication, hard work, and passion helped us build a business we were all proud of. Together we created unforgettable memories, formed lifelong friendships, and achieved far more than I ever imagined.
“I am incredibly proud that, through all of your efforts, Silke Hair Studio became an award-winning salon. Those achievements are not mine alone, they belong to every member of our team who gave their all every single day.
“Although this chapter is coming to an end, the memories we’ve made, the friendships we’ve built, and the lives we’ve touched will stay with me forever.”
