Traffic lights recently installed in the Monksland area are working well, Cllr John Keogh told a recent meeting of Athlone Municipal District.
At the meeting Cllr Keogh asked that the “pencil cones” be all taken out. “There were a lot of concerns, but I’d like to compliment the council on the issue,” he added.
MD Cathaoirleach Cllr Domnick Connolly also complimented the council and said he was in the area a number of times and saw the system working well.
