Two children and two women seriously injured in County Sligo road traffic collision

Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision in County Sligo
Two children, a nine-year-old boy, a three-year-old girl and two women were seriously injured in a road traffic collision in County Sligo this afternoon.
Gardaí were called to the scene of the collision between two cars on the N59 at Ballysadare, County Sligo around 2.30 p.m. this afternoon, Monday.
Gardaí say that two women, one aged in her 40s and the other in her 20s, and the two children were brought to Sligo University Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the second car, a woman in her 50s, was brought to the hospital for assessment.
The road is currently closed at this location with diversions in place as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carry out an examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. Road users or pedestrians who were in the area at the time and have camera footage (including dash-cam recordings) are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
