Two major awards for County Roscommon farming project

The Farming Rathcroghan project picked up two major awards at the 2025 Archaeological Achievement Awards.

The awards, which celebrate excellence in archaeology across the UK and Ireland, were presented at a ceremony in Belfast.

The Farming Rathcroghan project won an award in the Archaeology & Sustainability category and was also honoured with an Outstanding Achievement Award.

The awards recognised Farming Rathcroghan’s exceptional achievement in protecting, enhancing and sustainably managing one of Ireland’s most significant archaeological landscapes.
