Two men airlifted to hospital following serious road collision in County Longford
Two men in their 30s have been airlifted to hospital following a serious road traffic collision earlier this evening in County Longford.

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses following the serious single-vehicle road traffic collision on the R392 at Derrylough, County Longford this evening, Wednesday, April 8th.
At approximately 6.45 p.m. gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident involving a car. One of two occupants of the car, a man in his 30s, was airlifted to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The other, a man also in his 30s, was airlifted the Midlands Hospital Tullamore to be treated for serious injuries.
The road remains closed pending a technical examination by forensic collision investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 6.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
