Two people hospitalised after collision in the county
A stretch of road in County Roscommon has been closed this morning following an 'incident'.
Two people have been hospitalised following a collision on the M6. One of them is understood to be seriously injured.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to a two car collision on the M6 at Dooghan, South Roscommon shortly after 12:30am this morning.
Both drivers, a female and male, both in their 20s, were removed from the scene to Tullamore hospital.
The man is understood to be seriously injured.
The scene is preserved for examination and diversions are in place and the M6 Motorway is closed between Junction 13 (Athlone) and Junction 14 (Ballinasloe).
