Visitor restrictions at Roscommon University Hospital have now been lifted.

Put in place on Monday January 6th, the restrictions were in response to the high number of patients with flu at the hospital.

At the time, the HSE said that all inpatient wards in RUH were impacted by flu cases. Visiting was restricted to compassionate grounds only during this time.

When contacted, the Saolta Hospital Group confirmed that the restrictions were lifted last week in light of a reduction in cases of respiratory illness at the hospital.

“There are currently no visiting restrictions in place at Roscommon University Hospital. Visiting is continuing as normal,” the spokesperson said.

Details on visiting times are available here.
