Watch: County Roscommon FRC gears up for fundraising challenge
Manager of Boyle FRC Monica Gaffney is calling on the local community to get involved with the centre's Spin Bike Challenge.
This Monday, October 5th at 11a.m. the Boyle Family Resource Centre will launch its new fundraising campaign, ‘Be Part of Our Next Chapter.’
The campaign will support the completion of the redevelopment of the counselling and psychotherapy centre, which will create a welcoming, accessible and more energy-efficient space to support children, adolescents and adults in the community for many years to come.
A fundraising goal of €150,000 has been set by the Boyle FRC for the project.
Following the launch, local groups, clubs and members of the community will take part in a Spin Bike Challenge, which gets underway on Monday at noon.
People are invited to hop on one of the two bikes and help reach the target distance on the day of 150km.
Manager of Boyle FRC Monica Gaffney has called on everyone to get involved on the day. “On each bike we are trying to reach 150km, and that matches our fundraising of the €150,000 we need to complete the project.
“If you’re free come down and see us anytime throughout the day,” she said.
