Watch: Firefighters tackle West Roscommon blaze

A firefighter tackles the blaze at West Roscommon.
There are currently six units of the fire services at a major fire in West Roscommon. Units from within and outside the county have been at the scene since lunchtime.
The incident is just off the Loughglynn and Ballinlough road at Brenamore, Loughglynn. RoscommonChief Fire Officer John Keane said a request has been made for a helicopter to help fight the fire and that firefighers are working hard to contain the fire and prevent it from reaching local homes, roads, and large forestry plantations.
Herald photographer Liam Reynolds, who is at the scene, said a lot of damage has been done.
The fire service said that a helicopter may be needed to help fight the fire, which was described as one of the biggest in the area for several years.
