A Roscommon football club is seeking feedback on a concept design proposal for its grounds.

Monksland United Football Club said it was delighted to share the concept design proposal for Cushla Park, Monksland, Athlone. The design includes a clubhouse extension, a spectator stand, and a multi use artificial pitch.

“MUFC has tried to incorporate as many community facilities as possible but they are just the suggestions of the club,” it said.

“We have engaged with numerous clubs, schools and community groups who are in the area, and have received some letters of support...” It continued that it is now seeking to engage with the wider community for suggestions and feedback “both good and bad” on what can and should be included in any proposed development.

“MUFC are open to any and all suggestions and will do our best to incorporate them into any proposed development,” it said. “If you would be in favour of a proposed development at Cushla Park we would encourage you to get in contact with your local councilors, TDs, senators, Roscommon County Council and Monksland Community Limited, which currently hold the lease on Cushla Park.”

Any feedback/suggestions can be submitted by emailing cushlaparkconceptdesign@gmail.com. This will allow for a more comprehensive concept design proposal to be presented to Roscommon County Council and Monksland Community Limited.

The club thanked former player Les Browne for putting the 3D design together and creating the visuals.
