Watch: Roscommon school pays tribute to beloved postman

A County Roscommon national school has paid tribute to its beloved local postman on his retirement.

Last Friday, Cornafulla NS in South Roscommon offered its thanks and congratulations to Tommy O’ Brien on his retirement.

“Tommy has always been a huge support to our school,” the school said. “He always brought a smile, a joke or a friendly greeting each day. Some members of the Student's Representative Council presented him with a small token of appreciation as our pupils wished him well. Thank you for everything Tommy and congratulations from everyone here in Cornafulla.” 

The school and community wished Tommy, his wife Majella, their children David and Niamh, and his adored grandchildren all the best.
