Weather woes continue as Storm Jocelyn approaches

Several hundred homes in County Roscommon are still without power.

ESB crews are still working to restore power to several hundred homes in County Roscommon in the wake of Storm Isha

Badly hit by power outages is the north of the county, particularly around the Arigna area where several hundred customers remain without power this morning.

As ESB crews battle to restore supplies, the country is bracing itself for yet another battering from strong winds.

Storm Jocelyn is now on its way, according to Met Eireann. Already this morning, Tuesday strong winds and heavy rain have swept in across County Roscommon.

Met Éireann has issued Status Orange wind warnings for Donegal, Galway and Mayo from 6 p.m. this evening while the rest of the country is subject to a yellow alert.
