Woman (50s) dies following County Galway assault
The woman (50s) was receiving medical treatment at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe.
A woman in her 50s has died in hospital days after she was assaulted in Ballinasloe, County Galway.
The woman had been receiving medical treatment in Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe but died from her injuries on Thursday.
She was discovered with serious injuries at a domestic residence in Ballinasloe on Monday at approximately 7 p.m..
The woman passed away from her injuries, yesterday, Thursday, December 12th. The local coroner has been notified. A post mortem examination will take place in due course. Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information on this incident to come forward.
