Woman and two children killed in Mayo crash
Gardaí and emergency services personnel remain at the scene of the collision
A woman and two children have died following a crash on the N17 in Co Mayo.
Gardaí and other emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision that took place on the N17 at Castlegar, near Claremorris.
It is understood the accident happened on the main road between Claremorris and Knock shortly after lunchtime when a vehicle and an articulated truck collided.
The road is closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed for a number of hours. Local diversions are in place.
The bodies of the deceased will be taken to Mayo University Hospital, where post-mortem examinations will be carried out.
