A 47-year -old woman has been told to seek employment before her case returns to court.

Sorcha Summerville, Apartment 2, Church Street, Roscommon Town, pleaded guilty at Roscommon District Court to criminal damage to the windows at Mahon Sweeney Solicitors on March 26th, 29th, and April 4th, 2026. 

She was also charged with smashing the shop window at Eight to Late, Main Street, Roscommon Town, on March 26th, and with spraying council property in Ardnanagh with blue paint on April 15th, 2026.

Solicitor Con Harlow said his client apologised unreservedly.

Sergeant Enda Daly said that there had been a number of incidents, and that damage of around €800 had been caused.

The judge adjourned the matter, saying he wanted her to have applied for 25 jobs on the next occasion.

Mr Harlow suggested that she engage with the Employability service. The case was adjourned until July.
