Works planned at a restaurant building in Boyle have been given the go-ahead by Roscommon County Council.
The applicant has been granted planning permission to undertake a series of structural modifications on the building on Bridge Street that is home to a popular Chinese restaurant.
The plans include removing the existing deteriorated front and side facades, and adding additional stability to the front wall of the former licenced premises and existing restaurant upstairs.
The development also proposes the installation of a traditional hardwood shopfront to the front and side of the premises.
This installation involves associated signage in the form of “fixed on” surface lettering with overhead illumination.
It is also proposed that the remaining external wall areas above the new shopfronts to be re-plastered similar to the existing premises.
County planners have given the development the green light, subject to eight conditions.
