A former Roscommon senior football team selector has been unveiled as part of the new Westmeath management team.

Mark McHugh, who was part of Davy Burke’s management team last season, will be head coach under newly appointed Westmeath senior football manager, Dermot McCabe.

McCabe, a former All-Star Cavan footballer, replaces Dessie Dolan who stepped down in Westmeath after two seasons in charge.

Donegal All-Ireland winner McHugh is currently a coach with Galway senior club team Moycullen, who recently advanced to this year’s county final.
