Blockbuster meetings in opening round of club leagues
St. Brigid's will commence the defence of the Fleming’s Supervalu Division 1 O’Rourke Cup against Boyle.
Damien Mulligan’s first competitive game in charge of St. Brigid’s will see his side play host to Fergal O’Donnell’s Boyle.
St. Brigid’s will welcome last year’s county quarter finalists to Kiltoom on Sunday, March 1 in the opening round of the Fleming’s Supervalu Division 1 O’Rourke Cup.
Meanwhile, Niall Murray’s first competitive game in charge of Pádraig Pearses will see last year’s county senior finalists come up against newly promoted Éire Óg.
That contest is scheduled to be played on Friday, February 27, commencing at 8 p.m.
That same evening county intermediate champions Strokestown will enjoy home advantage against St. Dominic’s.
Oran host Roscommon Gaels on Saturday, February 28 and Western Gaels face Castlerea St. Kevin’s on Sunday, March 1.
Clann na nGael are due to visit a Tulsk Lord Edwards side that won the O’Gara Cup last year, on Sunday, March 8.
Last year’s intermediate semi finalists St. Michael’s will travel to face St. Brigid’s B in the opening game of the Topline Ward O’Gara Cup, on Friday, February 27.
County senior semi finalists St. Faithleach’s commence their campaign at home to Ballinameen on Saturday, February 28. That same evening junior champions St. Croan’s will host Creggs, Shannon Gaels square off against Elphin, Fuerty play Michael Glaveys and Pádraig Pearses B come up against Strokestown B.
Meanwhile, in the Joe Simon Home, Garden and Build, Boyle, Tansey Cup Division 3, Western Gaels B and Kilmore will get the ball rolling when they meet on Saturday. February 28.
Later that evening, St. Barry’s will play Castlerea St. Kevin’s B and Kilbride come up against Kilglass Gaels.
The following day, Sunday, March 1, St. Ronan’s play Clann na nGael B, St. Joseph’s welcome Elphin B to Kilteevan while St. Dominic’s B host St. Aidan’s.
The Cryan’s Hotel Division 4 campaign will see Kilbride B play St. Brigid’s C and Roscommon Gaels B meet St. Faithleach’s B on Friday, March 6. The following day Boyle B and Michael Glaveys B meet while Fuerty B and Tulsk Lord Edwards B also face off.
In the D&M O’Grady’s & Sons Ltd Division 5 league, Clann na nGael C play St. Dominic’s C on Friday, March 6.
The following day, Éire Óg B play Kilglass Gaels B, Ballinameen B and Kilmore B meet, St. Michael’s B play St. Barry’s B, Creggs B face Oran B and St. Croan’s B play St. Aidan’s B.
