Roscommon senior football manager, Davy Burke, has named his first team of the new season to face Down in Sunday's opening Allianz Division Two Football League game at King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park.
Three players will make their league debut in defence — Colm Neary, Pearse Frost and Tim Lambe — while there are recalls for Eddie Nolan, Shane Killoran and Cian McKeon who have rejoined the panel this year.
Overall, there are just eight survivors from the starting 15 that were beaten by Armagh in last year's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final in Croke Park.
There are no players from county senior football champions, Pádraig Pearses, involved in the match-day 26.
The bench includes Ciaráin Murtagh, who has also returned to the panel, and Ben O’Carroll, who missed most of 2024 because of injury.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Brian Stack of St. Brigid's will, once again, be Roscommon senior football captain for 2025. Diarmuid Murtagh (St. Faithleach's) and Daire Cregg (Boyle) will be joint vice-captains.
