There will be a new manager at the helm when Four Roads try to defend their county senior hurling title in 2024.
Former player Shane Curley has taken up a coaching role with Belmont in County Offaly as part of James Murphy’s management team.
Curley took over the Tisrara-based club at the start of the season from John Cunniffe. They cruised through the group stages of the senior hurling championship before comfortably overcoming Athleague by 0-26 to 2-12 in the final.
However, the men in Black and Amber were second best against Tooreen in the Connacht club championship. Despite that loss, Four Roads are the warmest of favourites to retain the Mickey Cunniffe Cup in 2024.
