The draw for the 2026 Roscommon Senior Football Championship has thrown up the Group of Death to beat them all.
Last year’s beaten finalists, Pádraig Pearses, will be joined by Boyle, Roscommon Gaels and Clann na nGael in Group B — all four teams that would be considered as one of the main threats to St. Brigid’s crown.
Once again, reigning Roscommon and Connacht champions, St. Brigid’s, have Michael Glaveys and Western Gaels for company, and they will be joined in Group A by last year’s intermediate winners Strokestown.
Group C looks wide open, with St. Faithleach’s, Oran, Castlerea St. Kevin’s and Elphin all likely to fancy their chances to emerge from that quartet.
North Roscommon, as the only divisional team, will join the championship at the preliminary quarter-final stage of the championship.

In the intermediate football championship, last year’s beaten finalists, Éire Óg, have familiar foes Fuerty and Kilmore for company, alongside last year’s Junior A champions St. Croan’s.
The clash of St. Dominic’s — relegated from the senior championship last year — and Tulsk Lord Edwards will be a heavyweight contest in Group A, while St. Barry’s and St. Brigid’s B will also hope to sneak into the knockout stages.
St. Michael’s, who were beaten in the last four in 2025, will be relatively happy to have North Roscommon neighbours Shannon Gaels, Pádraig Pearses B and Creggs in their group.

Kilbride, who were relegated from the intermediate championship season, have neighbours Roscommon Gaels B, Clann na nGael B and St. Brigid’s C for company
