A former Galway senior footballer, who won two All-Ireland titles with the Tribesmen in 1998 and 2001, was part of a Roscommon club’s management team last weekend.

Seán Ó Domhnaill was patrolling the sideline in Abbey Park, Boyle, as part of the North Roscommon management ticket during their 2-20 to 1-14 loss against Elphin in the county SFC preliminary quarter-final.

Apart from Ó Domhnaill, former Roscommon footballers David Keenan and Seán Casey were part of a North Roscommon backroom team managed by Peter Bolger.

The former An Cheathrú Rua midfielder formed a formidable partnership with Kevin Walsh during Galway’s All-Ireland successes in the late nineties and at the beginning of the new Millennium.
