A former manager of the Roscommon intermediate ladies’ football team is back on familiar ground.

Ollie Lennon, who was manager of the county’s flagship ladies’ team between 2022 and 2024, will be in charge of the Kilbride intermediate ladies’ football team this season.

Lennon was at the helm in Kilbride during the club’s historic five-in-a-row of senior championship titles between 2016 and 2020.

After Clann na nGael denied Kilbride a sixth successive crown in 2021, Lennon was subsequently appointed manager of Roscommon where he led them to a Division Three League title in 2022 and a Connacht crown a year later.

Lennon was replaced by Finbar Egan at the end of last year, having spent three seasons with Roscommon.

Having been relegated to the intermediate championship in 2024, Kilbride have recruited the Pádraig Pearses clubman for a second time in the hope that he can weave his magic once more and bring the club back to the senior ranks.
