Former Roscommon senior football manager, Davy Burke, will be part of the Kildare senior football management team for 2026.
Burke, who was in charge of the Rossies for three years before stepping down in June, will team up with Kildare manager Brian Flanagan next season.
The Confey man led his native county to All-Ireland U-20 championship glory in 2018 before taking his first senior intercounty management gig with Wicklow.
In late 2022, after a protracted search, he replaced Anthony Cunningham as Roscommon senior football manager.
According to the
, he has been persuaded to come on board his native county’s management team by the man who emulated his All-Ireland U-20 success in 2023, Brian Flanagan.Burke will join Kildare as a head coach alongside Aidan O’Rourke, and Damien Hendy and Daryl Flynn as selectors.
His appointment is expected to be ratified at a special county board meeting of Kildare GAA on Tuesday next, September 2nd.
