Former Clann na nGael senior football manager, Paul Curran, has been appointed the new manager of Skerries Harps in Dublin.

Curran, who led Clann na nGael to the Fahey Cup in 2015 following a 1-11 to 1-9 victory against Pádraig Pearses, replaces Terry McGuinness.

Curran was a marquee player with Dublin, where he won an All-Ireland title in 1995 alongside current Roscommon selector Jason Sherlock, and his club Thomas Davis, before going on to manage Ballymun Kickhams and Clann na nGael to county titles in Dublin and Roscommon. He also enjoyed success with Dunshaughlin in Meath a few years ago.

Meanwhile, former Pádraig Pearses manager Pat Flanagan is the new manager of Longford outfit, St. Mary’s, Granard.

Flanagan led Pádraig Pearses to county and Connacht glory in 2021, and will be aiming to boost his new club’s chances of securing Longford glory for the first time in 44 years.
