Ultan Harney could be in line to make his first appearance for the Roscommon senior footballers in over 20 months after being named on the match-day 26 for Saturday evening’s Division One League game against Mayo at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar.
The Clann na nGael player hasn’t played for the Rossies since the qualifier defeat against Clare in June 2022 after spending last year abroad.
He joins Ronan Daly on the substitutes bench, with the Pádraig Pearses also in line to see some National Football League action for the first time under Davy Burke.
The Roscommon manager has made just one change to the team that defeated Monaghan last weekend, with Niall Daly replacing Conor Hussey in the half-back line.
Tadhg O’Rourke is also named on the subs bench, having made a welcome return to action against Monaghan after nearly a year out through injury.
