All-Ireland handball champion, Niamh Hall, with members of her family, including her proud grandmother, Chrissie McLoughlin (sitting, far left), at Kilglass Gaels GAA grounds.

Niamh Hall brought pride and glory to her parish over the weekend, winning her maiden individual All-Ireland handball title.

Niamh, from Kilglass Gaels Handball Club, took on Tipperary's Molly Joyce in the 60 x 30 All-Ireland U-15 Singles final on Sunday morning.

The Tipperary handballer won the first game 15-5. She was 14-10 ahead in the second game and looked to be on course for victory, but Niamh responded and prevailed 15-14.

A tiebreaker followed where there was little to separate the two players. But Niamh emerged victorious, 15-10, to win her first individual All-Ireland title.

A huge crowd gathered in Kilglass Gaels GAA pitch to welcome home their newly-crowned All-Ireland champion.
