Shane Sweeney and Adrian Murphy helped the Galway camogie team to an All Ireland title.

Two Pádraig Pearses clubmen helped Galway claim the Glen Dimplex All Ireland senior camogie title.

Shane Sweeney (coach) and Adrian Murphy (stats) were part of the Galway set up as the Tribeswomen claimed their fifth ever All Ireland senior camogie title and in the process denied Cork a three in a row.

The pair were also part of the Galway U-23 backroom team that helped the Tribeswomen win the inaugural All Ireland U-23 title.

Galway managed to claim victory today as captain Carrie Dolan’s 63rd minute free helped Cathal Murray’s charges prevail by 1-14 to 1-13 against a Cork team who played the second half with 14 players following Hannah Looney’s dismissal.
