If ever there was one pic that summed up an unforgettable experience at King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park, it's the photo of Roscommon superfan, Willie Tiernan from Boyle, shedding a tear as the Rossies capture the Nestor Cup on home soil for the first time in 25 years.

Who says the provincial championships don't matter!

On the day that the heroes from 2001 were honoured, Mark Dowd's team capped the perfect day by launching a late comeback to stun Galway and win the Connacht title for the first time in seven years.

Supporters swarmed onto the Hyde's pristine surface afterwards, eager to celebrate with their heroes.

One Primrose and Blue flag read "Kings of Connacht" which is a fairly accurate description for a county that has just bagged provincial U-20, U-17 and now senior football titles in the space of under two weeks for the first time in its history.

The celebrations will last for a few days before we do it all again when Tyrone come to town on Sunday week.
