Play off pairings and seeded teams confirmed in club football championships

The play off pairings and seeded teams for the Senior, Intermediate and Junior A football championships have been revealed.

Strokestown, Kilmore and Kilbride are the big winners this evening with the trio now confirmed to be among the seeded teams when the quarter final draws for the Senior, Intermediate and Junior A championships are conducted.

Meanwhile, in the Hodson Bay Group Senior relegation battle, Clann na nGael are the odd team out as they will head to the relegation final where they will face the loser of St. Faithleach’s and Western Gaels.

Shannon Gaels will also be pleased with the draw as they have secured a bye to the quarter final stage of the McNulty Furniture Intermediate championship. St. Brigid’s B will square off against Fuerty in the preliminary quarter final.

St. Barry’s and Pádraig Pearses B will meet in the McNulty Furniture Intermediate championship relegation semi final. The loser of that game will meet St. Croan’s.

St. Brigid’s C have secured a bye to the quarter finals of the King and Moffatt Junior A Football Championship. Boyle B and St. Ronan’s will meet to determine who will secure the last available quarter final spot.

There was no draw required for the relegation stages of the King and Moffatt Junior A Football Championship as St Joseph’s who finished fourth in their group cannot be relegated per competition regulations.

That means Roscommon Gaels B will play St Dominic’s B with the loser of that game dropping down to Junior B for 2027.
