Referee for county senior football final confirmed

Jimmy Donoghue will take charge of Sunday week's Roscommon senior football final between Pádraig Pearses and St. Brigid's at King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park.

Jimmy Donoghue will referee this year’s county senior football final between Pádraig Pearses and St. Brigid’s on Sunday week.

The appointment will complete the Holy Trinity of adult finals for the Tulsk Lord Edwards member, having taken charge of the 2022 Junior A final between St. Ronan’s and Pádraig Pearses.

A year later, he was the man in the middle for the intermediate decider between Éire Óg and Castlerea St. Kevin’s.

A former player and officer with Tulsk, he was part of the Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown, senior football panel that savoured All-Ireland Colleges’ glory in 2017.

He is employed by NexVentur — a recruitment and relocation specialist based in Roscommon Town.

This Saturday’s Junior A football final between St. Croan’s and Ballinameen will be refereed by JJ Leonard (St. Dominic’s), while Mark Grehan (St. Brigid’s) will take charge of Sunday’s intermediate decider between Éire Óg and Strokestown in Kiltoom.
