Roscommon club grounds to host All-Ireland semi-finals

A club grounds in County Roscommon will host one of the biggest schools’ football matches of the year on Saturday next.
The home of county senior football champions Pádraig Pearses in Woodmount will stage the eagerly-anticipated All-Ireland PPS Senior A Football Championship semi-final between Cólaiste Mhuire, Mullingar, and Connacht champions, St. Colman’s, Claremorris, on Saturday next, February 22nd, at 1 p.m..
Former Roscommon footballer, Brian Murtagh, is part of the Cólaiste Mhuire, management team, while one of the team’s key forwards, Will Scahill, is the son of former Castlerea St. Kevin’s footballer, David Scahill.
On Sunday afternoon, it was confirmed that the other A semi-final between Mercy Secondary School, Mounthawk and St. Patrick's Maghera will also take place in County Roscommon.
St. Brigid's GAA grounds. Kiltoom, will host the big game at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday.
Roscommon CBS will face St. Peter’s College, Dunboyne, in their All-Ireland B semi-final in Kinnegad at 1 p.m. on Saturday next.
