Roscommon clubwomen face off in third level league final

Kilbride’s Aisling Hanly and Aisling Shanagher faced off in the O’Rourke Cup (Division 1 league) final.
Hanly’s DCU side, who are the reigning O’Connor Cup champions, came up against a Shanagher and the University of Limerick (UL).
DCU managed to emerge with a 0-8 to 0-4 win in a final played in tricky conditions as they retained the O’Rourke Cup.
Kilbride GAA expressed their pride in both players competing among the best young players in Ireland: “We extend our congratulations to both Aisling Hanley and Aisling Shanagher on reaching the final and wish them continued success in their sporting careers.”
Meanwhile, Northern Harps’ Anna McGrath was part of the UU Coleraine team who won the AIG Ladies HEC league final against TUS Midwest on Thursday evening.
