Roscommon corner-forward, John Price, with his Player of the Match award following Friday evening's Connacht final victory against Mayo.

A Roscommon footballer has secured for the Electric Ireland Minor Footballer of the Week.

Pádraig Pearses’ John Price was chosen after his Player of the Match display in his side’s 2-14 to 1-15 win over Mayo.

He finished with 1-3 as his opening half goal paved the way for a famous win as Roscommon will now face the losers of the Leinster final at the last eight stage Price obtained a whopping 89.3% of the vote, obtaining more votes than Kerry minor footballer Gearoid White and Wexford minor hurler Sean O'Brien.
