Roscommon footballer nominated for PWC/GPA Women’s Football Player of the Month

Boyle’s Saoirse Wynne has been nominated for the PWC/GPA Women’s Football Player of the Month.
The centre back was instrumental in helping Roscommon claim the All Ireland intermediate LGFA title for the first time since 2005 as she produced a tremendous display against Fermanagh at Croke Park.
Wynne helped revive Roscommon’s fortunes after their 22 point Connacht final defeat to Leitrim as she excelled in the All Ireland series, helping Roscommon’s flagship LGFA team to their first win in Croke Park since 2001.
Galway captain Kate Geraghty has also been shortlisted after her Player of the Match display in the Tribeswomen’s senior final victory against Kerry.
Lara Dahunsi of Antrim is nominated after leading her side to a dramatic one point win over Carlow in the All Ireland Junior final.
