Roscommon footballer Enda Smith has praised former manager Davy Burke for his effort during his three years at the helm.

Speaking on The Saturday Game, Smith stated that the Kildare native left no stone unturned during his time in charge while the Boyle man wished Burke well with his future endeavours.

“Nobody can question the effort Davy Burke has put into Roscommon over the last three years. We have seen it at the coalface. There is nobody more disappointed than Davy with the way the season panned out, I can guarantee you that.

“He has given everything to Roscommon GAA over the past three years. On a personal level he has been brilliant, and he really brought on a lot of players into the squad over the last three years.

“I just wish him nothing but the best with whatever he goes on to do in his future,” Smith concluded.
