Roscommon impress in booking All Ireland semi final spot

The Roscommon team that reached the All Ireland Premier Junior Camogie semi final.
Roscommon secured their third win in a row and more importantly a place in the All Ireland Premier Junior Camogie semi final as they proved too strong for Tyrone.
After a tight opening 10 minutes which saw the sides level at 0-3 apiece, Roscommon surged clear to set up an All Ireland semi final against Armagh.
Rachel Fitzmaurice and a Tara Naughton free propelled Roscommon two clear before Ciara Kilcommins produced a one handed pull to the net after Fitzmaurice’s driving run set up the chance.
Furhter efforts from Celine Gacquin, Kilcommins and Naughton (free) helped Roscommon lead 1-8 to 0-4 at the interval. Tyrone went more direct in the second half and provided a greater threat with sub Emer Cunningham proving a nuisance at full forward.
Roscommon were able to keep the scoreboard ticking over with Naughton accurate from the placed ball as she finished with 0-11, ten frees.
A Cunningham goal reduced Tyrone’s arrears to nine points after 52 minutes but Roscommon cancelled that out with interest as they bagged the next five scores, three from Naughton while Dooley bagged a brace.
Even though Beth Jones bagged a goal on the hour mark, it proved merely a consolation as Roscommon booked their place in the final four.
