St. Barry’s Cillian Campbell has earned a Sigerson Cup medal after UL defeated UCC 0-17 to 1-11 in Croke Park.

Campbell and UL have enjoyed a season to remember. After claiming the Division One league title last November for the first time, UL have now claimed the Sigerson Cup for the inaugural time in the college’s history.

The St. Barry’s clubman came off the bench in the 65th minute to help UL hold out for a famous day in the college’s history.

He also earned game time in his side’s dramatic semi final triumph over Queen’s University.

In his side’s league final triumph over the University of Galway, Campbell produced a crucial goal line clearance in the closing stages.

Campbell helped Roscommon claim the Connacht U-20 title in 2024 while he was part of the team that reached this year’s provincial final at the age grade.

He was part of the UL team that won the All Ireland Freshers B title in March 2024.

This latest success only serves to bolster Campbell’s already burgeoning reputation.
