St. Brigid’s’ Frankie Dolan helped Wicklow claim an historic Tailteann Cup final success over Down.
Dolan is part of Oisín McConville’s management ticket that helped Wicklow to one of the county’s greatest days as they produced a sensational comeback to defeat Down in Croke Park.
Wicklow trailed by 12 points at half time, and by 13 early in the second half, but ended up winning 1-21 to 2-16.
They outscored Down by 1-17 to 0-6 in the second half as they once more produced a terrific second half display to claim victory.
Wicklow outscored Offaly by 1-17 to 1-4 in the second half of the Tailteann Cup semi final.
Aside from lifting the Tailteann Cup, Wicklow will compete in next year's All Ireland series.
